Hi

MXV files are the recorded video files from version 2.

MVY files are Video Easy Project files which are the information about the contents of the project ie which videos, images, what edits have been made, effects used etc.

If you saved projects created using Video Easy 2 then you should have the MVY files available to open in Video Easy 7.

If not then to get the MXV file(s) into a project start a new project and use File, Import to locate and add the video (MXV file) to the project.

Hi,

Open the old mxv version 2.0 with your version 7.0 and save it using the version 7.0 format. The new version can open  the old file but the old version cannot open the new file save with a new nameor the sa,e with 2016 in the name.

Regards,
