I have no audio when importing Avi or other mpg files into Magix

i have one movie burn with no problems but since then any avi or mpg or mpeg2 files have no audio, even in the edit screen there is no audio. am i missing something. please help

Perhaps you are missing a codec, try downloading AC3filter (free on net) and install this. The program GSPOT is also free, it will tell you which codecs are installed on the computer, and which your files need (both video and audio).
