The only way to find out is to install and test it. 

According to Microsoft here, searching for Magix MP3 maker version 14 onwards is compatible.

We only officially support version 15 and above on Windows 7.

 

However, version 12 and especially 14 will often work with no problems.

To Magix support and John, thanks for answering my question. Just to let you and everyone else know, I installed MP3 Maker 12 Deluxe with Windows 7 and am happy to report it works terrifically!!! I like 12 because it has the DJ function. From what I've read so far, that option is not available in 17. Big mistake guys....
