I can't select a single object anymore in MEP 12!!!

I have a project with multiple tracks and many clips imported from many mpeg movies. After using object curve effects to rotate a single clip, I can no longer select a single clip and move it horizontally. Instead, selecting a single clip causes many other clips to be selected. The specific number of additional selections varies with the intended clip. However, the additional clips always start AFTER the intended clip.

I can move the intended clip vertically across tracks just fine, but I can't move it horizontally without moving the other selected clips. The only way to undo this problem is to reset program settings to the defaults.

HELP!!!!!

Hi there,

This is a question of the mouse mode you're using. You can set this in the icon bar underneath the mediapool, kind in the right-hand center of the screen. Switch from the intelligent mouse mode, which you're apparently in, to the single object mode. You can also do this by pressing the shortcut ALT+1 on the keyboard. That should take care of your issue.
