I can't run Magix Softwares

Hi,

Adam Zarboni, your PR & Communications Manager, North America, have sent to me some copies of “Movie Edit Pro 16", "Music Maker  16" and PC Check & Tuning 2010", for review.

But, I can't run any of them, and when I try to run syscheck to send you the report, my machine freezes.

My machine is a Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.80 GHZ - Windows Vista Home Premium, 320 GB HDD Sata 7200 RPM, 3 GB DDR2 RAM and an ATI Radeon 128 bits HD 4650, with 1 GB DDR2 RAM.

I own a copy of Pinnacle Studio 14, for example, and this software runs fine.

Could you please help me?

Regards,

Marcos

I think the situation would be that the system environment is not compatible at this time...

My suggestion would be to create a selective startup, this would help eliminate any other softwares from running at the time the computer is turned on.

To do this, you will need to go to the Start button of Windows, then to the Run, type in MSCONFIG and press OK.

This will open the Microsoft System Configuration dialog. In here, you need to click on the Start Up tab, and notice that everything listed in this area with a green check mark are applications and services that run automatically when the computer is powered up. None of these services are critical to the operation of Windows, this is why near the bottom there is a select button for Disable All.

I recommend disabling all, then rebooting the computer to reset all the resources. Disabling all does not remove anything, but it does tell Windows to ONLY start those services which are vital to the operation of the Windows environment. All the other programs will still be available, but now they require a manual start (double clicking their .exe file icon).

After disabling and restarting the computer you will have a system message telling you that you are in a selective startup, and it has a area where you can say do not show me this again... You want it to ALWAYS show you this message. Some of the things you disabled are Internet security, such as your antiviral programs, spam, and adware protections... so you might not want to surf the web at this moment.

Windows should have started much faster than usual, since it did not need to load the other applications of startup as before... that would be a good indication of a healthy PC and Windows environment.

Now that you have restarted, nothing else is running you can try a few things... One, see if you can now run the MAGIX software... If you can, then we can safely assume that something in your startup is causing an issue.

If it still has problems, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling with all those startup files turned off for this session, there is nothing that should interfere with the installation.

This is just the first line of installation, for the three programs you have mentioned to not run, there has to be something causing a major conflict. It may require some more looking into, just let me know.
