Are you trying to import an already existing MPEG file that was captured from your HDV cam in a different program? Do I understand this correctly? If so, can you clarify what program (and possibly settings) you were using?
Also, please explain exactly how the import of the MPEG file fails in Movie Edit Pro 15+. This hasn't become clear yet. Is there any kind of error message? Provide an accurate quote, maybe a screen shot.
Some ideas off the top of my head: Make sure that the MPEG-2 codec has been activated. Depending on what batch of the program this is, you might also need to take some additional steps to successfully run this on Windows 7, or even to successfully activate the MPEG-2 codec in the first place. So, this is another aspect that might come in. But for starters it would be good if you could illustrate the problem/error message more clearly.
It was captured on Premiere pro cs2 or 4 (i'm sorry for precision - long story) 1080p 25p.
