There is possibly a very small clip left after splitting and deleting. Expand the view and you should see it.

Wow... sounds like big project!! Where is your end marker? Are you running into the end marker of the song? Can you zoom out and slide it to the right?

click on the song and put your cursor over the edge of the song. there should be an arrow pointing in both directions. click and drag that arrow over to make the box bigger
