How well does MEP 16 handle HD editting. I currently use 14 and playback is stuttery and jerky....

I have a short deadline to edit a HD project.  I am a long time MEP user and currently use 14, and love it.  However, in HD, the movie playback is stuttery and jerky.  I have already read most of the comments from people who are experiencing the same thing.  I have a more than capable processor and video card.  I am wondering from anyone if MEP 16 has solved this problem.  Better yet, in 14. what video card will work with HD.  What do I need to do?   HELP!

I am doing well with HD editing on Movie Edit Pro 16.

But the performance of the system makes the big difference. It is strange, I have a AMD system that is actually more powerful than the Intel machine, but the Intel preforms better with HD, AVCHD.

I am actually using the same video card in both, which is actually designed for gaming, not video editing, I have the Nvidia GeForce GTX 280. I am liking it.

But honestly, the program is not causing the video playback issues as much as the system being taxed of its resources. You need a dual core processor really for HD Editing, and I prefer a 64 bit Windows, but not Windows 7... still having a love hate with that version.

AVCHD video will play back jerky as its it huge, monumentally huge, but the export of that format or burning a DVD with that format in my projects has been flawless.
