Then why does it say on the box 'for PC & Mac'?

Is it a con?

Hi

Because it is for the MAC versions of Magix software.  If you look on the box it should tell you which programs the Soundpools are for.

I think you are wrong. To the best of my knowledge Magix do not make any software for Mac. I have downloaded free samples of various Magix programmes and none gave the option of a Mac version. Furthermore the soundpool  install disc also does not offer a Mac option, which it would if there was any Magix Mac software in existence. Windows uses .exe extension files and Mac uses .dmg extension files are there are non of the latter on the soundpool disc.

The only refence to the use of the soundpool on its box is "....is the ideal addition to any music software - on Mac or PC"

I raised this same question in my Apple Community forum and recieved a more sensible and helpful response from there, and I am now able to use the soundpool files with my Mac software.

There are currently 5 different Magix programs available for MACs.

When posting please give more information so we can give you a a less generalised answer, however I am pleased you have the soundpools working.
