Standalone, similar to Corel Video Studio. There are 3 versions, basic, Plus and Premium. Plus and Premium have the same features except that Premium has additional third party plugins or programs. Anyone who is the least bit serious about making videos (or even slideshows) should go for Plus or Premium, definitely not basic, as one quickly runs into missing features.

By the way Corel offers a subtitle function for Magix this is nothing but multilanguage is important here.
