What I need to know:  How to switch domain registered with magix to my hosting provider (webgator).

Details:  Magix acct page was of NO use.  Sure, they led me to a page detailing how I can sign up for THEIR webhosting, but I cannot locate how to TRANSFER the domain registered with them to my hosting service webgator.

I have all necessary nameserver info provided by webgator, just can't locate page on magix to inititate the transfer.

My Plea:  Please help out a kind fellow, who is altruistic and positivive by nature but, CONSTANTLY thwarted by websites with social engineering preventing one from leaving them.

Any help I can get about this issue will be paid forward, as I will assist any other members in any way I can.  In other words, this is not a 'hit-and-run" request.

RECAP:  How to switch domain regged with magix to my hosting provider (webgator);  I have nameserver info provided by webgator, just can't locate page on magix to inititate the transfer.

Thank-you everyone, and best wishes,

Joe

Hi Joe

Welcome to the forum and the complexities of domain name transfer

Can you transfer the domain name into Webgator from your Webgator control panel?

Help is free of charge on the forum, however 'payment' would be appreciated in the form of a response if this works OK, many users like to know if their answer worked.

Also if it does not work come back and with more info ie the domain name you are trying to transfer.

HTH

John

Hi,

I don't have Xara Web Designer but maybe this set of tutorials is worth browsing:

Hi John,

You're probably right, but I thought that a few of these 90+ tutorials (not 21 as I first said) might be of some help or offer a clue how to proceed,  such as Lesson #35 about web hosting. But I've not studied any of them, so it was a long shot!

And I wonder if any of the OPs to whom I've sent similar replies will even see this suggestion.
