How to pre-assign tracks to digital drums in Music Studio 2013

I am not sure if this is even possible but thought I'd ask anyways...

As I am somewhat new to Midi, etc I was wondering if I can set my digial/electronic drum kits to record each kit item (kick, snare, hihat etc) on an individual track when recording them live?

So Kik on track 1, snare on track 2, hih hat on track 3 etc...???

I know I can record it all on track 1 but then for separation and eq, compression etc I need to go in and move each item to a new track...just thoght I'd save some time when recording...

In Music Studio 2013

Thanks

Hi Antho,

I am no expert, but I don't think you can do it all at the same time.If you're playing live, how would the different sounds be separated without interfering with eachother? You should be able to do it one at a time. It wouldn't have to take much time if you record short pieces and when create loops. Later you can change velocity and pitch if you want to.

@ Gunbjo

My thoughts were to have 1-X # tracks recording simultaneously...as if you were tracking as full band etc...

Then have each track assigned to record MIDI, and further each track to record the perticular MIDI note assigned to the drum part be it Kik, snare etc....

But maybe my understanding of how MIDI and or Magix 2013 works is not correct...lol
