Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

According to this page a .gig file is actually an audio sample file designed originally to work with the Tascam Gigasampler and Gigastudio. As such, it is clearly not a VST Effect but rather a proprietary type of VST Instrument (VSTi) file. As such I think it highly unlikely it would work in Acid.
