How to get started

I downloaded MMM 15 Premium last week, and cannot get started. I want to compose my own music but I cannot even find the MIDI editor to use the piano roll and drum grid, like I used on Magix 2000. The manual is very vague in that it doesn't even instruct on how to navigate to the MIDI editor, I've watched video on youtube but it doesn't help. I downloaded all 4 Content Packs but in Song Maker there are only 2 styles, whereas in the video there are many. I'm sure i'm probably not doing something right, but would appreciate any assistance because I have some music I want to get recorded.

try playing around with all of the functions in the menus. you will notice 'insert new midi object' (ctrlalt-m). you could also browse to a midi file using the file manager, then double click or drag and drop. to enter the midi editor, double click the midi object in the arranger, or it's one of the options in the context menu (right click on an object). try reading the documentation in the help menu.
