This is smply basic object editing.  There are at least two ways to break out loops/samples.

One way is to split the object into separate parts.  Splitting tracks is simple.  Click the time bar at the top of the arranger to move the red start marker to the location where you want the split to occur.  Then, hit the "T" key to split it.

You can also do it through the Edit menu and there is also a mouse mode for that purpose.  The owner's manual will explain these in more detail.

Another method is to use the object handles at the bottom corners of the object to isolate the desired section.  After this has been done, simply move the object to the beginning of the track and export it.
The exported samples can then be imported into an arrangement.
