Hi there,

Starting after the step where you have cut out the part you want to use (and thus copied it to the clipboard), this is what you need to do:

Open the target image that you want to paste the cut piece into via the "File" menu or switch to it via the image selection at the bottom if it is already loaded in the program. Now paste the piece via the "Edit" menu => "Paste" sub menu => "As object" command. Alternatively you can use the CTRL+V keyboard shortcut. The piece will now appear as a highlighted object within your target image and you will be able position and resize it. Done.

I hope this helps.

Hi again,

Not sure where you're going wrong here. I typed up my previous instructions using Xtreme Photo Designer 6 (the one that is available for free on the Magix site), but I just checked in version 7 and it's exactly the same. Here the entire procedure in a nutshell again:

* load first image into Xtreme Photo Designer

* use the selection/lasso tool to enclose the part you want to copy (make sure to finish with double-click so the selection is closed)

* cut or copy the selected part by using the appropriate command from the "Edit" menu or just hit CTRL+C on your keyboard

* load second image via "File" menu (target background image)

* use the paste "As object" command or hit CTRL+V on your keyboard to insert the object from the clipboard

That's really all there is to it. Good luck!
