How to convert Protected DRM WMA to mp3?

I have down loaded an audiobook from the public library through Overdrive Media Console the file is saved on my computer as a DRM protected WMA file. While I can listen to the book on my PC I cannot transfer it to my Palm Pre Smartphone. MP3 Maker 15 gives DRM Protected music. On my old phone a Palm Treo 755p I was able to use Pocket Tunes to transfer from Overdrive Media Console to the Treo.

Please help

Hi,

I'm afraid this is not going to be possible within MP3 Maker. I don't bother much with DRM-protected audio content, but basically, from my understanding, there's a catalog of rules associated with each file/license that dictates what can and what cannot be done with that particular file. The catalog of rules is usually very similar and will e.g. permit a few times of burning the file to audio CD. Direct conversions to MP3 are usually not permitted. Since MP3 Maker complies with these legal regulations, you won't get it to do the direct conversion.
