I am using Rescue your Video Tapes (version 5.0.1.102). When editing the video I need to locate exactly where a section ends and a new starts. I can do that by tryal and error: keep going back and advancing a step of several frames. It would be much better If I could advance the video frame by frame.
Is there any way to advance video frame by frame in Rescue your Video Tapes (version 5.0.1.102)?

If the behaviour of RYVT is the same as Movie Edit Prop (I do not have RYVT) then :
- the Left and Right arrow keys on your keyboard.move 1 frame at a time
- Ctrl + Left or Right arrow key move 5 frames at a time

Nothing like that in Rescue your Videotapes V 5.0.1. I tried all that, and some less logical steps. I still wonder if it is possible at all.

Sorry I don't have Rescue. Have you checked out the little scissors icon under the preview window? I'd guess it might be for trimming clips -- MEP object trimmer is very good and even includes fades.

Your answer was really good. I tried again and I found that (a) the arrow keys do work exactly as you described it, sometimes; (b) at other times, the arrow keys make it skip to the beginning and the end of a scene; (c) at some other times again, actually most of the time, the arrow keys do absolutly nothing. I could not figure out under which conditions the (a), (b), or (c) happens. It may be all in my computer. Anyway, I now get close to the point of intrest several times, until the (a) happens, so I can proceed with my operations.
