I have created a photoshow using 500 or so pictures but the program will not now allow me to add the provided "Camper Holiday" intro or outro. Please advise, thankyou
I've never used any of the supplied Intros/Outros but a quick search of the Help led to this page. Does the information there help? It seem you need to use the PS Wizard to access these templates.
Did you go to the beginning of the timeline (not Storyboard), and select the first image then apply the Intro? Then go to the end of the timeline, select the last image, then apply the Outro?
You have to select an object or the Intro/Outro will not be applied.
The Intro needs to use tracks 2, 3, 5 and 6, so there should be nothing on them near the beginning of the timeline.
The title will be on track 5 and you double-click on it to open the title editor.
Thanks John and Jeff, I've tried both your methods and still get the same result. It places the wording over my first 2 pictures and doesn't install the cartoon video. Very frustrating. I had the previous version of this software and this procedure worked fine. Anymore advice will be more than welcome.
I don't have Camper Holiday, but do have Camper RV.
Here is what the timeline should look like. Is this what you see? I not, please post a screen shot.
In this case, the text is about 8.5 seconds. The effect is slightly longer with the audio starting with the title but ending slightly past it because the sound has trailed off.
If you want to adjust the location of the elements and even the duration, you can separate the elements from the associated image using the ungroup button.
Thanks again for your assistance. Firstly, yes it is Camper RV I'm trying to use. I'm beginning to think there is a fault somewhere though. I've taken a screenshot for you to have a look at and its nothing like yours.
I'm just flummoxed as to what I'm doing wrong, I had no issues at all with the 2019/20 version doing the same thing.
Yes, something is definitely strange. Both the mask and the camper video clip should be showing in the frames of the object on the timeline, but are not.
Go to Program Settings (Y), Device options tab. What do you have under Video mode? What are the options? Try a different one.
Also, please give us details of your hardware. See my signature for an example.
Create a small test project and apply Camper RV to see if it works there.
I follow your topic with interest. I find it strange that you can't place the Intro/Outro (Camper Holidays) properly. Do you also have this with another random Intro/outro? What is the result of this?
The issue is most likely to be the lack of an integrated GPU in the CPU, and the GTX 760, based on the Keplar architecture, is not capable of providing any decode/encode functions for Photostory 2025.
In the Program settings, Device options tab, try changing the Video mode to CPU.
If you are considering upgrading the GPU to a newer model which supports NVENC, I would recommend the GTX 16xx series as the absolute minimum to give some future proofing.
.... Very frustrating. I had the previous version of this software and this procedure worked fine....
If your previous version was Photostory 2024, this should not cause any problems in Photostory 2025 either. I have experimented with an Intro/Outro. Is it possible you changed the up or down arrow on the timeline? Watch the video
Thankyou everybody for your help. I followed John's suggestion first and changed the "video mode" to CPU. This worked straight away. The intro and outro both imported perfectly. It does work slightly different to my previous version of the software (pre pandemic) but I'm happy to sit back and learn a bit more now. Turned 70 in September so I'm quite pleased with myself now Ha! Ha!
Once again thank you all for your help and time taken with resolving my issue.
Watch this space I may be back again in the near future Ha! Haa!
As far as I can tell, your Video Card will no longer be supported by Nvidia after July 9, 2024. The latest Driver Version is 475.14 for Windows 10|11. Have you downloaded and installed it yet? See: Official GeForce Drivers | NVIDIA
Hi Rob, just updated the drivers as per your suggestion. Switched magix back to using GPU, same result as before, nothing, so I'm back to using CPU and considering a new Graphics card. Thanks again, David
That's what I was afraid of, but it was worth a try. Thanks👍 for your feedback, I learned something new here too. Good luck with buying a new graphics card.
