How to activate Audio Cleaning using "Rescue Your Video Tapes" Version 3.0?

dawrob6 wrote on 2/24/2012, 7:03 AM

Video transfer is fine and can be adjusted via the screen options. I cannot access into anything that will activate improvement to the sound quality. Page 20 of the manual says right click on the sound recording to select "Audio Cleaning" but no such thing is visible and none of the manual illustrations show it. The volume slider is only active after video transfer and before editing and does not respond to hovering or right click to bring up more functionality. I can't find sound features on any of the drop-down menus. The absence of this feature is spoiling an otherwise great product. Has part of the software failed to load? Is this not part of the software? Help please! I use a high-end, modern Dell XPS Laptop with Windows 7. The software is recently-purchased Magix "Rescue Your Video Tapes" Version 3.

P.S. A previous version of this question mistakenly applied the wrong product selection in the summary, hence this re-issue of the question.

Hi

Make sure you select the audio track before right clicking.

Message to John. Thanks John but the point is that I can't see the audio track to be able to click on it. Where should it be and what does it look like?

Hi

1. Can you post an image if the timeline please.

2. Is there any audio when you playback the recording in RYVT?

3. What settings did you use to capture the recording - did you have capture audio turned off?

Thanks

John
