How to access the online Content Catalogue

imaginaction wrote on 10/2/2022, 11:02 PM

I have a perpetual license and have paid a subscription to Xara Designer Pro, paid until mid-2023. Although I could in the past, I can't access the online Content Catalogue and receive the error message attached.

Like others, I am confused about whether I can access the online content even after my subscription expires.

Help appreciated!

Hello, welcome

It's a 504 error at Magix end.

Please see thread here and keep trying or contact Magix at infoservice@magix.net

Thanks Stephen. I'll keep trying and also contact Magix. It certainly is annoying, especially because Xara is so good!

Hi

I would advise you download the Online Content catalog to your PC the option should be under More in the Online gallery pane.

This will create a Local designs gallery, as seen below, and removes the need for accessing the servers for day to day use.

Thanks John, I get the same folder tree as you've shown above, but I'm not sure how to actually download the content. If I press on the update now button, I get the tree. Then if I go to say, Image Resources, the Online Content Catalogue opens but I can't find an option to 'download all' or similar.

Does this process allow me to download the entire Stock Photos and Stock Illustrations?

Many thanks

David

@imaginaction

Hi,

Under Local Designs Gallery, right-click on one of the subjects, like Websites, and select "Download All." Do the same for the other subjects.

This can take quite a while.
