How do you record a video from YouTube?

Hi, some friends of mine uploaded a YouTube video of me which I would like to record from YouTube to have on my PC. Is it possible to do this with Video Pro X6 or Movie Edit Pro MX Premium?

Hi

Recording from Youtube is not possible or a good option if it was for two reasons -

  1. Recording with MEP or VPX will result in a black screen where the video is - YT protects videos from being screen captured (recorded)

    and if you could

  2. Youtube converts the video and the resolution you get depends on your Internet connection speed and may be as low as 240p.

You would be better to contact your friends and ask them to post the original video on a file sharing site such as Dropbox so you can download it.
