How do you place recaptcha on a form (step by step please)

Derek-Thompson wrote on 6/28/2021, 3:03 PM

I have a Google form on my site and would like to an a recaptcha to it. What is the step by step to get the Google code onto the page. For the page site key, do you leave the quotes in the code or not? Does it go in the header of body for the html. I'm not a programmer and am really struggling with this.

This is great information but it doesn't explain how and where to do it in Xara Web Designer Premium. I just want to copy code and place it in the proper html box in the software. I do realize that I have to enter the site key and secret key separately as I'm the only one that has these codes.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

AFAICS recaptcha is available as a function of Google forms and you should be able to set it in your Google forms account - see here for more information.

I'm looking at the form in google but the menu option for Advanced Settings is not available. The menu selections stop at Help, there is no file upload function. I'm using Office 365, could that be the problem? I don't get any of the options your are pointing out.

Hi

Are you logged into your Google account where you uploaded or created the form?

Yes, I created the form in Google.forms. The form works fine, it's the recaptcha that's the problem. I did manage to get the recaptcha to appear but it didn't work. All of the examples are people adding code to areas of the html. They are also NOT using Xara Web Designer Premium.

Hi

I would suggest you ask Google support why the Captcha is not working as from what I have seen it is part of the Google forms service.

I too have seen a lot of code versions however many of them are not that secure as they also contain the correct answers and there is a degree of uncertainty as to whether they would work with Xara Web Designer without duplicating object or variable names.
