Hey! Well i recently purchased a brand new desktop computer with windows 7 that I have been using strictly for recording purposes. Literally the only external program I have installed in it would be MMM16 and all the sounds pools. I record with a usb interface (ZOOM G2.1) and run my guitar directly through it. When hooking it up to the sound system I have to jam through the computer, I notice that my guitar is lagging by about 1.5 second(s). After I record the track and what not, I can align the sound waves in the correct position to manually the track into the correct time, but thats just too artificial. The kicker is when I use my headphones (Nothing special $45 sony) I notice the lag decreases but is still there. oddly enough I have some how trained my self to record in time, but you can only imagine how much of a pian it is trying to record with other people. Ive attempted to install ASIO 4 all but apparently the 64bit application is not released for Windows 7. Do you think this is the issue? Or maybe a driver? soundcard/other hardware? I really like this program, still regret buying micrsoft, but it has potential to create awesome music if this lag would dissapear!
How do you fix recording lag for Windows 7 & MMM16
