Greetings,

I legally purchased PhotoStory 2010 from Magix via online and it has and continues to work well - thanks for a great product.   My issue is that I upgraded my desktop computer from Windows 7 to Window 10, I encountered problesm.  I accessed PhotoStory 2010 Delux HD, I was able create a slideshow but it did not play well and I was asked to register it.  Not sure why, I went ahead and registered it using the information already in the screen.  Then I got the error message  code 24 that the product was already registered.  This I knew, it was to me.  I later got a notice to download some MPEG-2 or 4 code, I forgot but I had already paid for all necessary codes for the program to function properly.

I need to get this paid program operational.  Please advise what I need to do.  You may find me under either of the following email addresses:

Will this make a difference.  Note:  I recently purchased the PhotoStory 2016 but was told it will not work with the 2010 version.  Thus, I must keep both on my desktop computer.

Please contact me at work, Removed by Moderator or on my cell Removed by Moderator to discuss.  I have called Magix Customer Service "several" times and tried all the various options to talk with someone but to no avail using the telephone number ((305) 722-5810, but to no avail.

Hi

These are a known issues that can happen with the Windows 10 upgrade.

Try reinstalling both programs using this procedure

Uninstall both programs in steps 1 and 2.

In step 12 install 2010 first register and activate then 2016.

Photostory 2016 should be able to open and edit the 2010 projects, the only issue you may have is if there is an effect in 2010 that you have used and it is not available in 2016.

Note Photostory 2010 may not work correctly with Windows 10.
