how do i stop the music from skipping

I recorded some tracks last night and the playback was good. But this morning I went to open the song and it appears to be skipping? Like a cd would skip?
Is there anyway I can fix it?

Hi,

I guess this is a performance problem. If you render the track / export it, the result will not skip.

To fix that in the production modus
- go in the menu/file, chose options / programm options / chose the tab Audio/Midi / Increase the Audiopuffer and all file sizes

- if this does not work you could also do premixing of several tracks (mixdown drums...)

It will also depend on what you're using for Recording/Playback in the program settings. .WAV for example with use a lot of CPU cycles and cause a stutter on some machines. Try to use ASIO whenever possible.
