Hello, I am trying to get the basics down so I can explore the rest of the program. Thank you for your time, your help, your cloths, your money, and your motorcycle.

This is for Music Maker 17

Question#1 How do I save my own unique sound creations into a file and load them?...EX:

Ok, so I took a loop from the sound pool, cut it down to a single bass hit, played with it, I got the sound I wanted, and then I added it to my track. How do I take that unique sound I created and save it into my own soundpool for future use?  Basically...How do I save it? Where should I save it? how do I find it?.

Question#2 How do I take take two different audio clips and make them into one loop?...EX

Ok, so, assuming I know the answer to question one, lets pretend I created five unique sounds and added each one to make a beat. How can I make that beat into its own loop? How do I save it, Where do I save it? How do I find it?

I use MMM 16 Premium but I think MMM 17 functions will also be same.

Note before you do anything on Music Maker first set the folder where you want to save. Click on "P" key then on Folder tab to set folder's path. After that set the project file auto saving time. This will help you if Music Maker all of sudden crash/hang etc.(Use File/settings)

Answer: You got two options save as a Music Maker arrangement or save in audio format such as wav, mp3 etc. Click File choose Save arrangement for Music Maker file

File/Export(for audio format)choose the format you want and export. File will be saved as audio.

I think in MMM 17 if you click "P" key it will open setting window under FOLDER tab you will find path to folders set it.

To load in to Music Maker use File Manager then locate where file is and drag and drop to re use.

How do I take that unique sound I created and save it into my own soundpool for future use?

When you will open Music Maker and put some audio on the arrange above that you will see Marker on left and write that indicates from where to where music will be recorded. If there is a particular range you want to save just fix marker on that area and export as audio file.(how explained above)

Question#2 How do I take take two different audio clips and make them into one loop?...EX

To make a beat you can use song maker or your idea to arrange audio from sound pool library. For making loops you can read in the pdf manual of MMM 17. Where to save, click on "P" key clck on Folder tab and set the path where you want to save. To find? use File Manager.

I am giving you link read that pdf and you will learn, other than that browse and you will find many tutorial I have already made in Pdf and movies.

OK...I'm going to go in a different direction here...

Question#1 How do I save my own unique sound creations into a file and load them?

As nihon94 said, you can create a directory (folder) on your hard drive in an easily accessible location.  Call it what ever you want, and make as many sub-directories as you want (bass, drum hits, etc.).

Now, you can alter any soundpool object you want, in any way you want, and then save it as a "take" (.tak).  To do this, click on it to highlight the object and go to...

(Object Menu) > Advanced options > Save object as take... (CTRL+F)

Save your takes to the directory(s) you've created.  Now, each take is easily accessible using the File Manager and can be imported into the arrangement just like any soundpool object.

Question#2 How do I take take two different audio clips and make them into one loop?

There's two ways to go about this.  If you want to be able to edit them individually yet still have them moveable like a single object, you would group them (CTRL+L).  (CTRL+M) will ungroup them.

If you want them to BE a single unified object, you'll need to export them to your directory as an audio file (WAV, etc.).  You can then import and treat them like a single object (because they will be).  The simplest way to do this would be to "group" them as described above, drag them down to the beginning of an unused track, set the end marker to the end of the grouped objects, set the track to play "solo", and then export.
