How do I import a quicktime file

Every time I try to upload something thats in quick time format, it says it can not support it. Do I need to covert the file to something else? If so what format should it be coverted to?

also what kind of format does this software support?

QuickTime can be proprietary, since it is owned and licensed by Apple. You might have to convert it using the QuickTime application player to a more user friendly version.

I had some like this before, i downloaded a converted and it worked, AVS i believe it was called, but that has been a few years now. all my .mov files load fine in the mep 14 software.
