@FM79 Did you ever enter the Music Maker 2016 serial number into Music Maker 2024 (not 2025!)? I think that is necessary, so that the instruments get activated on the store.

Only other alternative is to install Music Maker 2016 parallel to Music Maker 2025.

It's 2025 and to clarify I bought it, not just an update

I used a activation key they gave me via email

How can I reactivate using my old 2016 key. How?

PS: "Saxophonia" and "concert guitar" do show but all the others do not

@FM79 Is Music Maker 2016 and all instruments installed on your computer?

To unlock the instruments in the store you can to install the old Music Maker Free Edition from here https://dl03.magix.net/musicmaker.exe and try to enter your 2016 serial number there. In the past it unlocked the instruments in the store. It's not guaranteed this still works.

Be also aware that Music Maker 2016 came out before the store was introduced, so that's why there is no connection between your instruments and the store.

Oh I see
I had uninstalled 2016. The instruments DO show on MM2025, but for most it says it cannot find them
I'll try your suggestion, thanks, hopefully it works

@FM79 The message box says it cannot find the samples because the instruments are no longer unlocked after you uninstalled Music Maker 2016.

I think it should work again, if you reinstall version 2016 and activate it.

Alternatively, try to unlock them in the store like described above.

On the VST tab I see it has a "lock" icon although it links to a file in the MM2016 VST folder

EDIT: It seems I need to add the paths for each VST in the new MM, then it works... but not for all VSTs

@FM79 Instead of adding each instrument path individually, have you tried to add the MxSynth folder? All Magix instruments should be located inside the folder.

FM79 wrote on 6/28/2024, 2:08 AM

Yes I had added the MxSynth folder path first and tried to "scan"

@FM79 The lock means that the instruments are installed but not unlocked, usually this happens because the program was uninstalled they came with, for example an older version of Music Maker or Samplitude Music Studio.

But now I reinstalled the old MM and they work for that software
