Hi,

Honestly speaking it is very difficult but if you are lucky then there is one possibiltiy if you give a try?

First of all you should know what is the Project name example xyz.mmm it will be saved in your Project folder you worked hard right?

As you have made mistake and this xyz.mmm has been changed but there is a possiblity you might got xyz.BAK This is a file which Music Maker save automatically.

How to locate this?

As usual you open project File/Load arrangements when the window appears look right you will see

File Name, Arrangements click on it and use All Files, if there is a Backup file with same name you are talking about but with older date and with BAK extension example XYZ.BAK

if you will load this you should get all your older savings. If it works please re save with new name and your Project will be save.

NOTE: You should browse for older date Bak file not the date when you over written.

ADDITIONAL: As you did not mention your software name I guess it is Music Maker. If not you can apply same formula for other software I guess.

I hope it will solve your problem.

Thank you

Hi,

If it is MMM, type" Alt Y" and look for files whose name are " pppp_BAKn.MM_"

Where :

" pppp" is the name of your project

"n" a backup version number

"MM_"  the name of the file's extension

In the program parameters you can adjust the time between 2 automatic backups.

Nota : reference MMM 15
