How do I fill in the gaps in my slideshow after I have removed pictures or video?

I organize my videos and pics, then I spend hours adding transitions and optimizing pictures. Then, I decide to delete just ONE picture or edit out 5 seconds from a video, and I'm left with a gap - - the only way I seem to be able to fill in that gap is to manually slide all of my images and stuff, which then kills all of the transitions that I spent so much time creating. There must be a way to tell the software to eliminate those gaps, right? I'm using the Magix Photostory 10 download version on my PC

Hi

I am assuming you are in timeline mode and not basic mode.

Select the clip after the gap and click the transition button at the beginning of the selected clip to open the transition options, select Cut.

This will close the gap and you can then apply any transition you need eg crossfade etc.

Next time you want to delete an image try using Ctrl + Del instead of the Del key, this should delete and close the gap at the same time.
