How do I fade out caption before transition to next slide in Photostory?

I am trying to add simple captions to slides in Photostory 2014.  Using title editor, I can add the "plain1" caption style to the slide.  I can also fade out the text by setting an animation time in the general settings, but the caption background remains visible until the slide transitions to the next slide.  How can I make the text and background fade out together before the slide transitions to the next slide?

Is there a simpler way to add captions (text and background) at the bottom of a slide with a controllable viewing time independent of the picture viewing time?

Using Windows 7, Photostory 2014 ver 13.0.5.94

Hi

If you are not already in Timeline mode switch to it.

You will then see the title is composed of 2 or more parts which you can then adjust.
