Hi boxyfella,

the easiest mode to edit your videos is the timeline mode - you can toggle the different editing modes with the three bigger buttons at the left site of the arranger. The mouse-over info will help you to find the right button in case you don't know it already.

To cut the video file, you have to position the marker at the point in the timeline where you want to split the video and either press the scissors symbol in the toolbar above the timeline or simply hit the "t"-key on your keyboard, which is the shortcut for cutting any file. To delete the unwanted scene, simply select it with a mouse-click and press the "Del"-Key (Delete) on your keyboard.

Kind regards,
your MAGIX Video Team

Hello!

It seems you have found a way to delete useless files/clips/material so as to accelerate the hard disk which gets a bit slow with many parts of clips we don't need. How do you do it ? Thanks a lot

Best regards

Mike
