How do i crossfade overlapping scenes?

How is it possible for me to crossfade between scenes that are overlapping?

Your question is not quite clear to me.

There are two methods to crossfade scenes:
A) Neighbouring scenes on a track. Click on the 2nd scene. AB appears. Left click on AB again and select crossfade. Adjust time of overlap as needed.

B) Crossfade for scenes on different tracks. Adjust crossfade as indicated by the arrows.
