How do I crop or edit my photos?

I have a slideshow and i cannot figure out how to edit the pictures on it once i have added them, is there a way to do it other then to just do it externally and import them in?

Yes you can edit them directly in movie edit pro.
Activate the "effects" tab in the upper right corner (right of "import") and select video effects or movement effects...
