how do i convert my video so that other software can see it???

i need to convert the video so that another software like windows media player can play it......

I assume you have the project open and you can play it back within the program. If so, you can go to the drop down menu that says "File" then export.

You choose the file type (.avi, .mpg, .wmv...) you want to export and then the settings in which you want to export. Settings such as the Resolution or view size, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio, and so on.

If you are unsure, you might want to export with the default settings. You also might need to do a bit of research to see which format is best for your needs, as well as any additional settings to resolution, frame rate and aspect ratio.

*IMPORTANT* in the export dialog, there is an area to NAME and a location that the file is being SAVED, this is often overlooked, and much time spent on looking where the exported file was saved. That information is in the section of the export dialog labeled File Path.
