More information needed ie computer spec, Windows version, DVD burner make and model. 

Also    - can you burn any disc - CD or DVD - with another burning program?

            - in Windows Device Manager is the writer recognised and working correctly?

Have you tried creating the finished slideshow to your local drive and using a 3rd party burning software to burn it to a disc? I have had to do that once or twice.
