How do I add a metronome as a track?

I would like to add a metronome and a chord for recording my voice in a different track. I have Music Maker 14. Although, this part should probably the same in all versions.

I am not sure on Music Maker 14. I had it, but I doubt it will run effectively under Windows 7.

In Music Maker 16, I create a track for MIDI by opening a a empty MIDI object then selecting that to open the MIDI editor, in there I have near the bottom a Metronome selection.

I am not sure if this was the same in Music Maker 14 I often used a drum sample for keeping my beat timing.
