How can I separate an object from a slide?

Hello. I searched and couldn't find an answer to this. I'm using Photostory DVD Deluxe 2013 and I put an object on top of one of the images in the slideshow. Now I want to delete that object, but not the image. Everytime I try, both get deleted. I searched through the Help inside the program and found nothing. How can I separate the object from the image so I can delete just the object? Thanks!

Hi

I would suggest you do the following as sometimes 2 objects get 'stuck' together.

- delete the object and let the image go with it.

- save the project and close Photostory.

- start Photostory and reload the project.

- insert the image again.

It should then be free of the attached object.

Thank you John. Yes, I had tried that. Deleting the object also deletes the image. I can then re-load the image from the Image Pool. But I was trying to find a way to delete the object without deleting the image. And I just found a way: If I click on either the image or object, they both become highlighted. Then I right-click and select Effects Settings. I then click 'Reset' and the two become separated and I can delete one without deleting the other. Thanks again for your answer!
