First you must copy the VOB-file(s) from DVD to the harddisk. Then open your project, and click the Filmwheel and click New movie and answer Don't close. Drag the VOB to the new Timeline and cut out the portion you want, mark it and copy it (Ctrl+C).  Change back to your project, and glue in with Ctrl+V at the place you want it.
