How can I improve slideshow video?

I have Magix Edit Pro 17 and I am having trouble with video outcome when played on TV. It looks fine on computer but when I burn it and watch the picture is distorted and the color is not so good. The video also seems to be zoomed in just a bit. In other words when the full picture is supposed to be on screen it is beyond the TV screen.

Hi

We need a lot more information:

What is the source, aspect ratio and resolution of the video clips and/or images used?

What settings do you have for the movie? - under File, Settings, Movie - grab a screen shot and post it here.

Which options are you setting in the Burn screens?

Are you playing PAL on NTSC or vice versa?

Come back with these and then we can help you.

John

I expect some overscan on my 'sideshow' movies (for PAL TV) and allow extra room when cropping images or placing titles. I also flatten & darken the darker (if not all) areas of images to avoid the grain that appears on PAL TV displays, especially grayscale images.

It is hard to predict the output on different devices with individula adjustments of gain etc.  I would be interested to other folk's input on this topic.
