How can I fix Titler Ex crash?

karin5 wrote on 2/22/2016, 1:05 PM

NewBlue Titler EX plugin (?) in my recently purchased Video Deluxe 2016 Plus package crashes my Video editor as soon as I try to launch the Titler in the Effects section. The Titler closes my Video programme, produces an error report and then the editor is restarted. How can I solve this problem? Thank you for your help.

Hi Karin5

What does the error message say?

If it is about not having sufficient graphics memory then I have had the same experience on my Surface Pro3 with integrated Intel graphics HD 4400 (GPU). According to New Blue this plugin will not work with integrated graphics but my i7 desktop with integrated graphics HD5300 with more memory, does handle it fine.

Hi Scenestealer,

ty for your answer. The error message is a 13 page crash log which is difficult to understand. I tried to check my graphics card and realised it might not be suitable for Titler EX. In the meantime, I have written to the Maxix technical support team with the following text:

"I recently bought Video Deluxe 2016 Plus which includes NewBlue Titler EX. When I launch the  installed Titler from my Effects section, the Magix Video programme crashes and produces a crash report (see attachment). On your forums, users have suggested that my Graphics card might be inadequate (please see attachment for details of my card). I run Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit on a Dell 5110 laptop with an Intel i3 processor, 3GB RAM and an Intel  HD Graphics 3000 card.  I would be grateful if you could help me solve this problem. Thank you in advance".

Will post their response here when it arrives.
