Hi fellow videographers, i wondered if we can render the AVI. files in AVI. or close to quality wise, and burn a DVD that would be played on average "lounge DVD players" .... ? THX for advice.

You can't burn AVI files directly using Movie Edit Pro - it encodes to MPEG2/VOB and those VOB files are burned to DVD. I suppose you could export your project as AVI and then burn to disc using a different program/burning suite. To export, click "File" - "Export" - "Movie as AVI". Then, in the dialog that opens, make sure to open the advanced/encoder settings to choose the codec you want to use.
