Help, xara web designer pro no longer saves.

Jon-Cawdron wrote on 5/14/2023, 4:01 AM

Every time i try and save I'm getting error (unknown error 22) I've only started getting this since a new version of xara was released, which is very suspicious. I'm not going to upgrade because the new version offers nothing new, they have added blocks which are useless as they can only stack. Does anyone know how to solve this error?

@Jon-Cawdron You can find Xara experts at the Xara Talkgraphics forum at https://www.talkgraphics.com/ They might have more knowledge to help you with your question.

could find any answers on https://www.talkgraphics.com/ not that it matters its customer support i needed not help from users who may be able to help. I have used Xara designer for the past 10 years and never had an issue until the last few versions. Blocks is pointless with very limited editability, which is ok for people who want to build a fast basic looking website. its now harder to edit slideshows, before you could drag every part and add your photos, now you cant move anything only change photos. Designer 16 is by far the best version.

@Jon-Cawdron

We are presuming that you are using Xara WD+ and not the older desktop version, so any questions should be directed to Xara itself.

Did you not ask your question on TalkGraphics?

Hi

. . . . Every time i try and save I'm getting error (unknown error 22) . . . .

This would suggest that the program is being blocked either by the destination drive/folder being missing or full.

Which drive and folder is the program trying to save to?

Which Antivirus program is installed on the computer?
