@Philip-Thompson Check the Playback options in the System Settings (Stop at position).

I recommend you restart your computer If the song doesn't stop playing.

Thank you for the response! Unfortunately no configuration of the three blocks ('Stop at Position,' 'Spacebar...' or 'Escape') on or off changes anything. The spacebar doesn't affect Transport in any way, and the screen no longer follows the playback cursor but instead it (cursor) stops at the edge of the screen as if the song stopped--but it hasn't

@Philip-Thompson In the same playback options is also a checkbox for autoscrolling (not visible in the screenshot).

@Philip-Thompson In Samplitude Music Studio you can reset the program to its default behaviour via the Help menu. I'm Samplitude Pro you need to import the default settings via the system settings. There is an option in the list on the left side where you can import and export your settings.
