Help with audio recordings please.

When I start a new audio recording, it goes to the begining of the track. Is there a way to start the audio recordings at a set destination within the track? Thanks :)

It goes wherever the Start Marker is.

The Start Marker is the rectangle (with a "chipped" corner) shown here just above the red triangular Play Marker. Click on and drag the Start Marker to a point two or three (or more) measures before you want to start playing to give yourself time to hit Record and get ready to play in time.
