Help when importing Mpeg4

The software i am using is MAGIX movie edit pro 14 and i have purchased and activated the mpeg4 for my software. The problem is that once i import the mpeg4 the video shows up but all the sound is gone. How do i fix this?

I have the same problem but vise versa. When I export ot MPEG-4 it just plays back the audio and not video.

I bought MEP 14 chiefly to edit my MP4 files (not supported in my older version.) I have purchased the MPEG4 codec, but now I find that I have video in the editor but no sound.

Please help!
