Help! Tracks visually disappeared in Samplitude 2015 but I can still hear them.

bryonwilson wrote on 7/8/2015, 3:53 PM

Hi everyone.  I'm new to the forum.  I joined because I am currently producing a song that requires quite a few layers.

Suddenly, while working on the song by first two tracks visually disappeared.  As I was working through the mix and doing some editing, I would click and drag to shrink the size tracks so that I could make it easier to view and edit others.  Somewhere in the process of doing this, tracks 2 and 3 disappeared.  I've tried dragging and moving tracks, changing views and mode.   I've even tried the "Minimize None" option but nothing seems to happen.

I'm very frustrated and need help.

probably the tracks are so minimzed, that they won`t show up any longer. Try copy and paste in a new project.

Hi

Try doing a program reset - Help, Restore original program settings  - note this will reset any folder customisation and layout customisation you have made.

I have the same problem as  Bryin Wilson has and Im certainly not going to copy and paste into a new project evrytime this happens. There needs to be a fix for this.

@Bryon,

Strange, your Samplitude Music Studio does not look like mine and as far as I know, there was no Samplitude 2015. There is Sampllitude Pro X and now Pro X2. So which version do you have exactly?

Watch this video about losing and re-exposing tracks, assuming that the video works.

You just have to find the track by dragging in the zone at the left where the track should be. Same place as where you make tracks higher or smaller.

There is another way, click on the down arrow to the right of the track name, or right click in the space between the tracks, select Minimize none. Your tracks will come back.

I have the same problem and I tried to drag  but that didnt work. Why not have a command in the Track pull down menu that will allow one to display missing tracks?

Sorry but that didnt work either. It maximizes or minimizes the track I clicked but it doesnt seem to effect any of the other tracks. I have buried tracks 1 and 2 so that I can't get them back. I have absolutely no space to click on between the bottom of track 2 and the top of track 3.   But  I discovered something. I have 8 tracks available If I delete track 8, tracks 1 and 2  appear and I can open them up.   Makes no sense to me.

Why was this never solved?

I have the same problem and none of the suggestions here fix it. I know how to reproduce the problem.

When I extend a track view from the bottom if I expand it too much it dissapears and becomes completely inaccessible. It still plays but I can't access it to change anything.

I've even tried alt + up arrow to try to manually select it but it won't select any not pictured on screen.

Try selecting track 1 and then inserting a new track. This forces the program to renumber all the other tracks. This has worked for me with a similar problem.

Old thread, but...

In samplitude PRO X, under the "additional project docker", you can find the "TRACKS" tab and there the "arrangement" option. See, the path is unchecked.

@Rafiniak

This is, indeed, a very old thread! Please don't resurrect such old posts, especially since the question is asking about Samplitude 2015 and you have Samplitude Pro X.

This thread will be closed.
