Having Import Issues with TS file

I am having difficulty importing a movie from a DvD on to my hard drive via MAGIX MEP 14. The movie seems to copy over just fine, however, when I play the movie back, it only shows bits and pieces of the movie. It starts out with the title screen, then instead of playing the movie, it flashes a scene very fast, then goes black, then several seconds later will play a few seconds of movie, then black again, and so on. The wierd thing is- it shows different scenes each time I play back the movie. So I know its there.
I use MAGIX Movie Editor Pro 14 on a Windows XP OS. I have the latest video drivers for my video card. I have even updated the drivers for my moniter.

Not all DVD-disks can be copied directly. At first it is necessary to make DVD-ripping. What this mean: use special software to transfer content of DVD-disk to hard drive. And only after that it is possible to import freely DVD in MEP
Use
Smart Ripper
or
DVD Decrypter
Told all above concerns DVD-video to disks
But may be you try to export *.mts or *.m2ts files - this is  HD video
Editing HD video requires the very productive personal computer.
Minimum requirements for HD editing:
  • Intel Pentium IV 3 GHz with hyperthreading or dual core with at least 1.3 GHz
  • 1 GB RAM and more
