Group Editing Gaps?!

thedvsmonkey wrote on 8/13/2014, 11:04 AM

I couldn't really decided how to title this question, but, I'm coming off of using Sony Vegas and I can't find out how to do the same thing with VPX6 yet.  When I cut footage out from my timeline in Vegas and I hit delete, the entire timeline of clips moves at once to fill in the gap.  So far in VPX6 I have to then go to each clip and drag it to the left one at a time to fill in all of the gaps.  What setting am I missing?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Nevermind, I figured it out.

-  Select Mouse Mode For All Tracks

-  Z (cut and remove start) or place playback marker at beginning of footage to cut and hit T then move playback marker to end of footage to be removed and hit Z and everything from that point and back to where you originally hit T will be removed and everything to the right will snap to the left at the end of the footage before the cutting began.

Also Ctrl+del deletes the object and closes the gap.
